Dear Fernwood Families,
We had a great week at Fernwood! Seeing our hallways packed with energy and watching our students jump right back into their daily routines has been great. A huge thank you to our hardworking staff for keeping everything running smoothly and bringing so much heart to their classrooms every single day. I also want to say a big thank you to everyone who came out for Back to School Night on Thursday. It was wonderful meeting so many of you, walking through the classrooms, and talking about what's ahead this year. Middle school is a unique stage, and knowing we have such a supportive community behind our kids makes all the difference. If you were unable to come this year, feel free to reach out to us at any time with questions or concerns.
As a school community, we also paused to recognize Patriot Day and honor the memory of September 11th. We wore Red, White, and Blue on Friday. We took time to remember the lives lost, pay tribute to our courageous first responders, and remind our students about the enduring strength of kindness, unity, and supporting one another.
Sincerely,
Frank Locantora
Principal
