Even as we head into the final stretch of the school year, our students are staying sharp and gaining invaluable skills for the future.
Real-World Skills at the Financial Literacy Fair
This past Monday, our school hosted an incredibly successful Financial Literacy Fair. Budgeting and balancing spreadsheets might not sound like your typical middle school highlights, but our students brought energy and focus to the challenge.
During the fair, students participated in hands-on, real-world simulations where they were tasked with making smart financial decisions.
They navigated scenarios involving:
- Managing monthly income and expenses
- Balancing financial accounts
- Making tough choices between "wants" and "needs" (like choosing between a luxury car payment or paying rent!)
It was wonderful to see them collaborating, problem-solving, and realizing just how fast those everyday expenses can add up. This event provides our students with practical, lifelong tools to manage money wisely, and we are so proud of how seriously they took their financial responsibilities.
A big thank you to our staff and community volunteers who organized the tables and guided our students through this fantastic learning experience.
