Many awards were given to Fernwood Students at the Jersey Shore Science Fair on March 18th at Stockton University.

Gold Team celebrated "Pi Day" by hosting a
week long event. Pi Poetry, a Pi Escape room,
a Cylinder drive, a Coin drive, 3.14 Selfie
Contest, a Pi spirit contest, and a "Pi Eating" contest were all held.

Students at Fernwood Avenue took part in the annual Science Fair which was held on
March 7th. Many outstanding projects were developed by the students in varying fields of study.

Fernwood Avenue Middle School was
represented by Joseph Johnston at the
New Jersey School Boards Association
sponsored Atlantic County 8th Grade
 Dialogue. The dialogueconsists of a student
 representative from each middle school
 in Atlantic County who share their
 experiences of a middle school student
and their future goals. Joseph represented
Fernwood with pride.

On January 27th, the Fernwood Avenue
Middle School Spelling Bee was held. The winners are: 1st Place - Angelina Merendino (6th Grade), 2nd Place - Kate Canela (8th Grade) and 3rd Place -
Christian Orlowski (6th Grade)
Congratulations!

On January 6th, a group of girls from Fernwood participated in "Tween Tech for Middle School Girls" which included many STEM activities at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.

Fernwood students and staff were treated
to a Holiday Concert by the students,
which number over 200 participants, from
the Music Department on Dec. 22nd

On December 15th, students from
Fernwood's Coding Club visited the EHT High
School to share their experiences
with computer coding.

The Fernwood Avenue Middle School
Chorus visited Atlantic City International
Airport and the Hamilton Mall to
perform holiday music on December 12th.

Fernwood Renaissance sponsored a DodgeBall Tournament on December 8th

On Nov. 30th, Egg Harbor Township Committee
 recognized the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners
 of the Egg Harbor Township's Veteran Advisory Board sponsored essay contest.
The essay was entitled, "What Veterans Day
mean to America."
This year's winners are 1st Place - M. Lopez,
2nd Place - R. Ammann, and 3rd Place - D. Kara
